SWF Patchwork Pals - Friday 7 February 2025

We had a good meet up today - great to see more people back after the Christmas/New Year break.  Everyone “seemed” to be quite productive - even if it was a bit nippy in the hall.

Marillyn had made this beautiful hanging decoration - it even lights up!

She’s now busy making this charity quilt using donated fabrics.

Joy had made this raw edge appliqué “flowers in a vase” from a pattern in a magazine. And whilst it looks 3D, it does lay flat so she’s going to post it to her friend.  What a lovely gift!

Joy is now working on this Crafter’s Carry-All bag - which apparently (and I quote) “is just a load of squares and rectangles sewn together”!  It’s looks a bit more complicated than that!!

It was great to see Lyn - and she’s been busy knitting up this hoodie - although she assures us it’s not for her!  It’s a beautiful colour - so I’m sure the recipient will love it.

Germaine was busy working away on her next lot of projects - this will eventually be a kimono.  Can’t wait to see it all come together - especially as she’s got some beautiful patterned fabric to incorporate into it.

Sharon has nearly completed this quilt - it looks more fabulous every month.

Juliet was cutting out panels for her quilted bag project.  The fabric is gorgeous!!   She also wants to have a go at the Crafter’s Carry All bag that Joy is making - good luck Juliet!

Pat continued working on this panel with some embroidery stitches.  She’s still undecided as to whether it will be a wall panel or a cushion cover!!  Watch this space.

Sarah and Jenny were getting on with their latest embroidery and cross stitch projects!

And the best thing about today - we didn’t have to pack away as the Saturday group are meeting tomorrow!!
