SWF Patchwork Pals - Friday 2 August 2024

Phew what a scorcher!!  But it didn’t stop us crafting!!   (Or chatting!)

Joy was busy working on her Leafy quilt (pattern by Elizabeth Hartman).  She’s chosen to brighten hers up - and we can’t wait to see her progress.

Lyn is in full production mode making items for her 4 youngest grandchildren for Christmas.  This gorgeous cardi is for her grand-daughter, Primose.  A very apt colour.  She’s starting with the eldest/biggest down to the youngest in the hope that the smaller makes will go quicker!

Germaine is continuing to work on her smocking piece - the embroidery is looking great!

Sarah found this “work in progress” amongst her Nana’s sewing box.  She’s hoping to complete it as a gift for her Mum.  That’s assuming she can make head or tail of the epic instructions that came with the kit!  Good luck Sarah!!

Pat has made a start on another gilet.  She’s lined it with winceyette so it’ll be nice and warm in the autumn/winter.  If anyone would like to make their own, please let Pat know and you can borrow the pattern.

Everyone else was busy working away.  Sandy brought cake to celebrate her “special” birthday - Happy Birthday Sandy!   Her and Val were putting together quilt pieces that they had inherited.

Sharon was continuing to work on her quilt and Juliette was making another blind.  Jenny had just started another cross stitch piece - but the 36 count linen was proving to be a challenge!
