PATCHWORK PALS

  Some of the ladies are making a group quilt.  They are using foundation patchwork to make different vegetables.  The pattern is from the Quilt Maker magazine. As you can see that Pat’s Tomatoes have now become attached to Joy’s corn on the cob and they are expecting some radishes quite soon.

  I t was really great to see everyone at the Friday meeting.  Everyone was hard at work on their various projects so I have some photos of some finished items. Marillyn had made some awesome Pincushions which have been embroidered- they seem much to nice to push pins onto!  Jenny had also completed some amazing work- look at this stunning Spring arrangement  And she has completed a seasonal display- fantastic work Jenny! Look forward to seeing everyone's work at the next meeting in May.

  As Spring has sprung, the Wednesday group are getting into the “grow your own”spirit but combining to create an Allotment Quilt.  Each person has taken a different vegetable block to make, and they will come back next month and find out which vegetable they’ll end up next to!  The original design was in the Quilt Maker magazine from May/June 2000.   Once it’s all been assembled, we’ll post a pic on the blog.
