SWF Patchwork Pals - Wednesday 22 January 2025

Only a few members were able to make it this Wednesday - but it was still good to meet up and see what everyone is working on. This is Jenny’s Xmas reindeer.  She making an early start for next Xmas, as well as making some for friends. Seems like a good idea – Pat would like to see how many people would like to make this later in the year – say October time so you can finish lots ready for Xmas yourself?  Please let Pat know if you are interested. Pat Robson has finally finished taking apart a piece and putting it back together again – now entitled “A Day Out” (I think).  She is still working on it - so watch this space. Joy has also completed her Storm at Sea Hearts project - and it looks amazing!  Well done.

A great turn out for the first meet up of the New Year! We had lots of catching up to do as well as discussing new projects.   Sarah Jarvis is playing with English Paper Piecing, some lovely fabrics making up gorgeous designs. Pat Harvey has nearly finished the challenge that Pat (Robson) set for her, just about to do the quilting!  It looks lovely. Kate is  starting a project that has sat around for a long time, it looks good. Sue Edwards is just starting a similar project to Pat Harvey, think Sue’s might be wider, but watch this space!  Sue is playing with materials at the moment.

There were only 4 of us this morning - and although we missed the usual crew, it was nice to get to know others better and put the world to rights!   Juliet was knitting up a storm on this beautiful sweater - ideal for this weather.  Bbrrrr!!!  Pat was making a new version of her favourite bag - as she’s worn the previous one out!  We’re not sure if she’s told her husband that she’s using one of his shirts for the lining! Joy brought in her “puzzling” cushion cover that she finished recently - it’s huge and looks super comfy. Joy is currently working on her heart quilt but she was unsure about what sort of border to put on it.  We all chipped in with ideas and once Joy has done her maths homework, it’s going to look amazing. And finally, now that Jenny has finished the two Christmas...
